White Gables Immersive Experience

Equal Accessibility & Support Everywhere, Inc. (EASE) hosted a powerful immersive accessibility event in White Gables, South Carolina, where community members and leaders came together to experience the importance of creating inclusive spaces for all. The event was designed to raise awareness about the unique needs of the Deaf, Hard-of-Hearing, DeafBlind, Blind, and Visually Impaired communities, and it served as a dynamic platform for hands-on learning and real-world solutions.

Throughout the event, participants engaged in:

• Accessibility Stations: Attendees moved through interactive stations where they could try assistive technologies like hearing aids, magnification devices, and communication tools. They also learned about resources such as CART services, voice-to-text apps, and tactile communication, all of which are essential for fostering inclusion.

• Live Demonstrations: Experts provided live demonstrations of accessibility tools, including how libraries, healthcare settings, and public spaces can incorporate these resources to become more welcoming to individuals with diverse needs.
